Goodbye 2007. Welcome 2008 !

Like any other human being, I too have the unachievable targets from last year. Apart from being a good procrastinator (I really am), financial standing is another biggest constraint. No matter how much I earned per month or per year, it has never enough. Who does anyways? Heh. I admit that most of the things I need to achieve are slackened by it. So, I’ve been pondering these few weeks on this and I’ve come out with a solution. I won’t bother you with the solution here (plus there’s no free financial advices) but I’m pretty sure it will work out good. I’ve taken a first step and waiting for the next one. Pray that everything runs smoothly.

So, for that, I would like to wish all of you a very Happy New Year ! May you achieve all your plans in 2008. To all my dear friends, let’s cherish our memories in 2007 and 2008 will be another exciting adventure for us. To all my enemies, you guys will be doomed forever. Muahahahahahaaaa !

I Like New Things

I went shopping for a shoe rack today. Wasn’t actually a plan to get any shoe rack though I know all my shoes need shelter. I’m keeping them in their boxes all this while and I don’t have a proper shoe rack. The simplest household thing and yet I don’t have it. My sister has always complained every time she visits my place. According to her, them shoe boxes are real ugly and collecting dust. Heehee. It was so happened today, I went to a furniture sale in Old Klang road and I saw a neat finishing shoe rack, with dark colour which can store at least 40 shoes, is on sale. Sweet ! The price is real cheap for something nice and look expensive like that. Checked with them salesperson and yea, the price is still applicable (it’s an hourly price type of thing). Too bad I couldn’t get it on the spot and I’ve to come back next week for the new stock.

So after the unplanned shopping, I thought it would be nice to change my 2-seater as well. I need to get rid of the one I have now and opt for something more space savvy. Maybe I will give it to my BFF because she doesn’t have a 2-seater. I may need to change my entertainment unit to something lower and longer. It looks neat that way compared to the one I have now; short and compact. And it’s gray. I don’t like that colour but mom bought me that to match my telly set. Yea, she is a funny beautiful woman. Urmm, if I wanna change my entertainment unit to a darker colour, should I buy a new telly set to match its colour too? Hah !

I’m very excited like a little kid who just got her lollipop. So what’s next? That new design of Tiffany charm bracelet? Ooo… I like.

A Bright Friday & The Breaking News

It is my most favourite day of the week. So, I decided to take leave today. Heehee. This is my last leave and I’ve no more annual leave to clear till next January. I thought I wanna sleep around and sloth-ing on my bed but I came up with a better alternative; to jog and enjoy the fresh Friday morning.

On my way back to my crib, I bumped into my driving teacher. There was a new boy who I assumed his new student. Looked clumsy behind the steering wheel and the windscreen wiper was moving. He saw me across the road waiting for my breakfast, then he pointed the boy and moved his finger to my direction, which I assumed he wanna say, “This is how you looked like before.” Yea, so true except for the windscreen part; I didn’t do that on my first day. But I do know I looked clumsy because that was my first time ever be in a driver’s seat and to actually drive it. Hahaa ! Funny experience.

On a different note, Benazir Bhutto was assassinated yesterday. Truth is, I may not know everything about her and what were good things she had fought for her people. I heard her name a lot from newspaper and telly when I was kid and I read some articles about her when I was in university and I know she was a huge deal for the people in Pakistan. I guess that was a great loss for the people there specifically and the world as a whole. See, we might have different political views, I couldn’t help but to feel sad and shock at the same time upon hearing to the news. This is not a safe and peace world anymore. Blood is too cheap and humanity has disappeared to don’t know where. Where is the love people? Sigh.

Road Trippin’…

My 1st road tripping with gym friends. Sounds so jakun. So?? Heehee. Alright, we went to visit our dear JE’s hometown in Sitiawan. The mission was : Don’t Go Back Thin ! Hahaa. CL was sweet enough to be our chauffeur. We left KL a approximately 9 a.m and reached JE’s place at noon. If it wasn’t because of them heavy lorries which blocked our way at some points between the journey, we might have reach there in a good 2 and half hours. Well, a trip without camslutting isn’t a complete package. Yea, we they did camslut themselves (not me.. me is cam-angel). Hahaa. Slap !

Teluk Batik landmark and its unpaid models

We went to Teluk Batik on the same day. Yes, talking about too many plans to be accomplished in 1 day and half, so everything was tight. And yup, we went kiasu at some point of time. Then, we off to Lumut for dried sea products shopping. Quite a happening place and the food here is quite cheap.

The 1st pic is Pengkalan Lumut at night. The 2nd and 3rd piccies is a shaking moon by unprofessional cameralady in her attempt to use the night vision feature. Bleh !

In line with our mission, the main agenda was to eat nice seafood, alas the restaurant we wanted to go was not opened. Maybe due to Chinese Winter Celebration thing. Ended up we ate at some seafood restaurant, which I think I can cook better than them. I’m so not kidding. For that, I so wanted to kill JE for messing up with the real plan. Actually, most of the shops were closed that night and thanks goodness we found this one, else we might ended up dinner in KFC. Drove for 4 hours just to eat KFC? !%&$#!#

Off to Pangkor Island the next day. My last trip to the island was went I was still in university and that was went we had our social works there. The weather in Pangkor was fine; sunny like there is no tomorrow. Anyhoo, the place has not changed much; the same small fisherman village like 6 years back and of course it is still peace and quiet. Rented a van and went tour the island.

We stopped by Teluk Dalam Beach and the beach is nice. I kinda like its scenery. Beautiful. Off to the main land after a good 2-hour of island tripping. Pangkor is one of a nice places for weekend breaks. I like it there.

Off to KL at 6.30 pm and reached KL around 10.30 pm. Heavy traffic like #$!&^$! though our dear chauffeur did some stunts along the ways. That will be another story. For that, I couldn’t close my eyes and my legs were tired because I pressed my ‘imaginary’ brake all the way from Sitiawan to KL. But good job CL, else we might not reach KL at this hour.

It was a nice trip. A lot of eating (A LOT !!!) here and there and the food there is real cheap and nice. Mission accomplished. Thanks JE for the hospitality. Muackss ! CL, Mun and Elaine, we should do this again.

F.R.I.E.N.D.S

What’s your favourite-est comedy sitcom? Mine is always F.R.I.E.N.D.S. Always ! This sitcom came in 10 awesome seasons and I’ve watched all of them.

I must admit that I’ve been excessively exposed to this sitcom, for 10 years to be exact and I must admit that the F.R.I.E.N.D.S does affect the way I converse every day; be it the way I talk or the way I structure my words. Not that it is a biggy, but I feel that subconsciously I tend to get influenced by them. Yea, I idolized them. In a good way of course. I like their high sense of humour and don’t you just love a good comedy? The one that always helps you to laugh and softens your stress down. It’s a good feeling isn’t it?

What I like about F.R.I.E.N.D.S? Well of course its characters. Like duh. Firstly, I’ll have to go with Ross (played by David Schwimmer). He is a smart paleontologist turned Professor in the latter episode, a sweet guy and his humour is wicked. The one element I like about his character is how he always corrects people’s grammar. It’s funny every time he does that. How can I not like a smart guy? *Uhuk* Then, I like Chandler (played by Matthew Perry). For those who know me will easily detect why I like Chandler. His character has high sense of sarcasm, which is actually tickled my mind. He is the one who always comes out with ironic (sometimes funny) remarks that are intended to mildly wound the people around him. It so reminds me of… hmmm… myself. Another character that I like is Phoebe (played by Lisa Kudrow). Why Phobe? Why not Monica or Rachel? Because Phoebe is very supportive of her friends, through their ups and downs. A selfless friend and a type of person who will do or say anything whenever and wherever she wants. I personally think that her character is cool. In this sitcom Phoebe and Joey are the least educated one and their naive-but-not-so-naive trait makes them cute and sometimes I wish that I have that kind of friend in my system. I can easily map The Monica and The Rachel in my circle of friends but no The Phoebe so far. And Joey? He is type of guy friend that everyone wanna have in their life. I like his character.

The sitcom has no longer aired on telly so them copies of DVD helps me big time every time I wanna have a good laugh. Enjoy this preview of their 9 years F.R.I.E.N.D.S series.

I Like Theodore

I watched Alvin and the Chipmunks last night. They are so adorable. Each of them has its own character; Alvin the Cheeky one, Simon the Smart one and of course the little Theodore the Sensitive one. How can a furry little creature like squirrel looks cute in my eyes? This makes me feels like having a hamster for myself (I don’t think I can get a squirrel as cute as them).

Of all the 3 cute little things, I like Theodore. Though I always like the smart one, I love Theodore more. He is so naive and sensitive and adorable. How can I not like him? So cute. I like the rendition of Daniel Powter’s Bad Day at the beginning of the movie. Nice touch.

There are good values in this movie. Heehee. I don’t believe I say that. Anyways, go watch it. It is a nice movie and Theodore is so cute. Okay, now let me do some editing to the soundtrack and set it as my ring tone. Heehee.
