… yea, the title is purposely to confuse you. But they are 2 separate things.
First thing, yea… I’ve some extra money and got myself a new baby. Say hello to my Nokia 6500 Slide.

Heehee. Yea, my original plan had diverted to this new baby. The previous plan was to get myself a sleek and gorgeous LG Viewty (yea, it’s LG but it’s pretty, okay?). I had always wanted to get this phone for 2 reasons; #1 it is pretty and #2 it’s touch-sensitive and I want to get at least one of those kind. Did some googling and apparently its reviews are not bad. The gorgeous princess is rated slightly lower by point-2 notch out of 10 below iPhone by the world wide users. I did read some drawbacks but they aren’t significant. And the MP is RM2,099 (as at yesterday), which I think pretty tolerable. Cool, right? With all the excitement and determination (hee…), I went to DM for the deal. Well, of course I forced JE to come with me (with a price of a dinner). Reached at the shop, got the Viewty with me and it was kinda disappointing. Yes, the Viewty is pretty, but only on the outside, not-so in the inside. But of course, the camera with Schneider Kreuznach optics that carries 5.0 MP is brilliant, and not to forget the video function is nice as well. The rest of the applications are up-to-date and good. The only thing that changed my mind is the colour of the display and the way they designed the icons; not so soothing to my eyes. No complaint on navigation and maneuvering of the touchscreen as those things can be explored. Just that, I want a phone with nice and sharp colours with nice icons. Beauty conscious? Yes, I am. Of course 2K is not a big deal but I want to pay for the Beauty inside-out. Period.
So with deteriorating excitement and determination (sigh…), we looked around just to kill time. I thought if I don’t get Viewty, I might want to consider Sony Ericsson but my sister had bought the latest model in town (W-series). The latest model of K-series is not pretty. The salesperson showed me P1, a successor of P990 but I had a PDA phone before. Not so fond of it now. Then, I thought Samsung is not bad. Plus, while I was phone-less, a dear friend lent me her Samsung phone and I kinda like its features. While I was busy nudging and playing with the supposed-to-buy-but-not Samsung phone, the salesperson suggested Nokia 6500. Truth is, Nokia will be the last thing I want to get in this world. Not that they are not good (they are great), but I used them in my university years. Bored with it already. I want to get some other names. But then, he was helpful enough to show me them functions in the phone and surprisingly, I instantly love them. Love the colours; sharp and bright, and love the look and feel of the phone. What I love the most is the brushed and scratch-protected technology stainless steel for its exterior. Yea, it’s just a minor feature but it’s pretty ! Looks elegance. Sweet ! It is not a high-end phone of course, but I’m OK with that. Basically, to me it is the sexiest mid-range slider phone in the market. And… again, it’s pretty !
Second thing, after phone shopping, fetched CL and watched a movie called Mad Money. It is a hilarious movie with Diane Keaton, Queen Latifah and Katie Holmes as the main roles. It is a movie about money. Oooo… sounds familiar. Yea, that’s basically it. These 3 women have their own financial problems and they work at the Federal Reserve. Diane is a cleaner, Queen Latifah shreds old money and Katie is the old-money cart mover. Due to the needs of money for their daily life, they plot a plan to steal money from Federal Reserve. How they plot the plan is the most interesting part. Satisfying happy ending. You have to watch it. Well, come to think of this, what if some people out there do the same thing to the place I’m working currently? Gosh, that will be a disaster. The company might turn bankrupt and I will be one of them beggars myself. Not ‘world class’ of course, no one can beat the existing one.
Okay, it’s public holiday and I feel like lazy-ing. Have a nice day peeps !
