Opps ! I Did It Again

I woke up super late for 3 consecutive days. Gosh, what’s wrong with my ears that I couldn’t hear my alarms. 2 alarms; the clock and the phone. Seriously, I need to get them school bell. The one that irritates my ears and the one that can possibly wake up the whole neighbourhood. Yea, I should get that. I hope no one will throw rotten eggs at my door should I fail to wake up still. As an alternative, I asked my sister to wake me up. She forgot to wake me up for 2 days in a row. I didn’t know that she is getting older as well. She should join me counting grey hairs now.

On a different note, I did a major overhaul to my PC at home last night. No wonder I couldn’t access to the internet these days. And I thought it was Streamyx’s fault. I swore them a lot. Sorry TM. Sorry Streamyx ! Actually, some aliens and bugs had built up their residency in the system. Took my AV DVD and wanted to destroy them for good. But, there was something wrong with my DVD drive that it couldn’t eject its tray. Sheeshh ! Left with no option but to open up the whole CPU. Did minor checking here and there, tightened some cables with the hope my amateur efforts will give good results. Well, it did actually. The DVD drive worked. Cleaned up them bugs and cleared up some unused stuff. Checked the internet connection…. yayy, I can get the access to my blog again. *Do the hippidity hop*

On another different note, rumours said there will be a fire drill at work today. For us to come down via stairs from 36th floor will be a fun thing to do later. It’s time to laugh at them girls who wear high heel. I wear it too. But. I have Crocs. And gym shoe. Hahaaa ! This is super interesting.

Don’t you hate it when you cannot get access to internet connection in office? Not only that. You cannot access it at home either. What’s wrong with the connection of late? I’m lucky to get through it this time and I think it’s going to go down again in a flip second. I better make this short.

Yummy Yummy Rabbit Candy

Who remembers White Rabbit Candy? The smooth, creamy, milky candy coated with edible rice cellophane-feel paper? It has a salt water taffy texture. Very yummy-ing, right? OK, I bought a pack of 50 just now for my Siem Reap trip next week. Somebody advised us to give away candy instead of money, should some kid beggars come and approach us. Even if it is not for them, it’s for me because this is my favourite candy. I took one out for me and keep the remaining in my nice pink glassy container. Then another one… and another… and so fourth… so fifth… and so on. ‘Subconciously’ I finished the whole pack. OMG ! OMG ! OMG ! OMG !

Hope I won’t sweat milk in gym later.

Sleepy Note

I just knew that one of my colleagues is doing her part time degree. She told me before that she had left school for 15 years. And I personally think that for her to come back and continue her study is in fact the coolest decision-making. Ever. And it is not easy to pick up books to study after being idle for quite sometimes. Really. That is a very smart move. I like smart people. To me, nothing beats the power of knowledge. Knowledge is always a powerful weapon.

Come to think of this, I realized that I missed my study years. Yea, I was a study-holics back then. Lemme recall… I had my usual spot in library, I had my notes shared with friends, I had my crazy stay-up hours… and yada-yada. Now that I left it all for almost 5 years already, I forget the feeling of having 2 hours sleep, the panda eyes moment, the red eyes moment, the desperation for exam tips and whatnots. O’ wow, how come it all coming back to me now. Maybe because I’m excited that my colleague is doing her degree. Am I crazy? Perhaps. Heh.

I’m sleepy. Off to nap.

World Of Selfish, You Reckon?

World that is full of selfish people is scary. Don’t you think so?

Someone I knew was down with serious food poisoning. She was so weak and drained due to continuous vomiting, besides the loo business. It was late (most of the people went home already) and the only colleague that has car didn’t want to sent her home for some unknown reasons. May be it won’t benefit her colleague. Well… oil price is hiking, so the world had decided. So, she had to stay back late until she up on her feet again. Vice versa, couple of years back, there were 2 young girls (I’m pretty sure they are siblings) sent an old man (who they found sick at the side of road), to a hospital. The old man was pressing his stomach so hard when they found him, in pain obviously. The girls took cab and sent the old man to the hospital.

Not too long ago, a mayhem happened somewhere in town between a man and a lady. The passersby and the cars didn’t bother to stop to help the girl. She could be dead. OK, some of then did stop but they chose to STOP and STARE.

…

I’ve a point. Really. But… urm, nevermind. Let’s just say, it is scary to have a world that is full of selfish people. Consider it as Monday thought.
